I used 1/2 inch emt pipe (electrical metal tubing) and bent it with a pipe bender to get the right width. I bring a roll of black duct tape too, and wrap some around any protruding parts of the U-bolt clamp. Ill probably use U bolts and connect it to the stand. The length depends on how high you want the rail to be.
