Cover Model: Heath Hutchins. I loved the plot, the characters were so likeable and the heroine is one of my favorites. Before Reading ~~~~~. Oh can't love all of them.... It's 2038 and Jacinda (Jake) Greenwood is a storyteller and a liar, an overqualified tour guide babysitting ultra-rich-eco-tourists in one of the world's last remaining forests. From his dirty-blond hair and breathtaking smile, to the abs from heaven and the irresistible V in his waistline, everything about Bodi Olympic-gold-medalist Banks screams hot piece of @$$. While it is not my cup of cocoa, I believe the majority of avid romance novel readers will find much to love about this policeman and teacher love story. Or (b) at least enjoyed!!! However, for me, the honeymoon was over after the midpoint, and I grew to dislike him over much of the second half of the story. Make Me Yours is a well-written contemporary romance novel with a few surprises in store.
Through Mariah's actions and words, Cole is quickly established as a sympathetic character and the main conflict for the first half of the book is introduced. Everything you would expect from Melanie Harlow is here. However, it is an extremely well-written romance novel that highlights important health issues. I'm thirty years old, for heaven's sake. You know, the one without the costume. The small town feel is always appreciated and something Melanie just does extremely well. It is well-written, employs memorable characters, and is driven by a powerful plot. Later in the book, Cheyenne is only eating salad and watching her friend eat a larger meal with envy. One thing I really didn't like about Cole, and in a smaller way about Cheyenne, was that their characters didn't have much of a life beyond the plot. Cheyenne is a fabulous character. Lily Litvyak is no one's idea of a fighter pilot: a tiny, dimpled teenager with golden curls who lied about her age in order to fly. He lived for her, specially considering the huge loss they faced since her birth.
Written by: Dave Hill. First described as murder-suicide - belts looped around their necks, they were found seated beside their basement swimming pool - police later ruled it a staged, targeted double murder. She wondered if it was because her heart belonged to the boy next door. Cheyenne feels like she is living in an alternate reality. An actually actionable self help book.
His best friend's little sister. It's my own damn fault. A dedicated cop the whole town adores. Date Read: 13 November 2020.
He is her brother's best friend and off limits but a girl can dream. What makes it compelling is just how easy these two are to like: their chemistry is obvious, their love is deep, and their personalities are endearing. I wish the narrator had been French Canadian. So I can understand where all the grief coming from.
