It is rock music that is arousing and also played during sex. While the style was anticipated by the Melvins from Washington, many of its earliest pioneers were from the state of Louisiana. I'm a huge fan myself of their 70s albums, and they are one of the few surviving groups from the late 60s to have never sold out to commercialism. Completely defies categorization. Definitely INFLUENCED by punk, but not punk themselves. There's plenty of wiggy fuzzed out keyboards and exotic stringed instruments to digest here. Hatebreed is Hardcore, not Nu-Metal. Associated Styles: Punk, Hardcore, Grindcore. It was a foretelling of the future of Annexus Quam. Cinemascope is probably the rarest from this time frame, and the one that is most aligned with my personal focus from a musical standpoint. This may then avoid the clicking of both 'Rock' & 'Blues' genres & the welding of 2 genres to a band that is distinctly only one. Noone is asking to add every single microstyle, but obviously there are some rather basic and errant metal branches missing.
Similar to other German fusion bands at this time like Lindwurm, but with more emphasis on the smoking guitar. Starts off with a big fat disco beat, and had me wondering if I'd fallen into YET ANOTHER funky fusion album from Germany. Drone metal, with bands such as Sunno))) and Boris tends to be more ambient than black, wich a mix of antireligious lyrics/titles and purely instrumental, paganistic form. To make matters worse, 'Talle' from the LP is the ONLY track not on the SWF Session. If you like long form psychedelic jamming organ and guitar, but from those raised in the jazz school, then Eiliff is hard to beat. And so he was a natural to experiment with rock's energy and sounds, and combine them with his vision of free jazz. The presence of trumpet and the bass heavy percussive driven sound reminds me of early 70's Miles Davis, especially on the opening title track. The style of drumming began to change dramatically to produce a heavier, more aggressive sound that was needed to keep up with the highly charged music, and of course to be heard above the amplified guitars. The swing music of the '30s, Including the Texas region Western Swing was greatly influence by the blues and through the "musical melting pot" had an effect on the emerging rockabilly and R&R movement. That's just not true. Heavy Metal declares that Punk Rock doesn't have a monopoly on anger, gains widespread appeal thanks to bands like AC/DC, Metallica, and Megadeth. But where Tetragon earn their namesake shape is the performance and the orientation. Also - Post-Harcore or that worth a style add.
Folk prog like Jethro Tull? I also hear a bit of the Real Ax Band and same era Alcatraz, which can only be considered a good thing. Clearly a big budget was behind the recording.
