R., telling "their" secrets, even leaving details of what someone said on their own voice mail or in an email can damage someone irreparably. Celebrate Recovery groups are not lead by pastors, teachers, professional counselors or paid experts. Celebrate Recovery meets 52 weeks a year because life's hurts, habits and hang-ups don't take a holiday! This group is for those who have endured past physical, sexual and/or emotional abuse. It is up to individual members to pursue counseling assistance when they are ready. The Celebrate Recovery leadership team are not licensed or trained therapist or counselors, this is a Christ-Centered Peer Support ministry. Healing is available through applying the principles of a Bible based recovery process to our lives. This group is not just for those in recovery for addictions; it is for anyone who wants to have healthier relationships, reach their goals, and find God's purpose in life so they may serve Him more effectively. In addition, Celebrate Recovery is not just growing in our church, but in recovery houses, rescue missions, universities, and prisons around the world. We don't talk about our family members, co-workers or others' problems. Jesus loves you and your family so very much! We meet at Cornerstone Church on Monday nights from 6:30-8:15pm in The Box. CR is unique in that it has six features: Celebrate Recovery started in 1991 in Lake Forest, California. All of the lessons are based on a single step, and the steps are the main talking point of the small groups. Our hurts, habits and hang-ups are like an illness and using the tools of Celebrate Recovery we begin to move toward wholeness. We also avoid graphic descriptions.
