If you have some level of experience with electronics, and have unplugged the unit first and then removed the board, you may consider doing the following: - Visually inspect the logic board for obvious signs of failure – burn marks, cracked capacitors, scratches or damage, solder problems. 4th test light pin the connectors at the tail lights. 1st clean the ground to the rear harness. Got it back together an no taillights.
Have to disconnect the battery to avoid killing time this happened I didn't notice until battery was dead and taillight assembly had partially, placed light switch, brake pedal switch, all new fuses of proper amperage, and still up to trailer and trailer lights all work properly. Then a couple days ago right rear tailight, hazard and brake light quit, not the bulb, the circuit board got hot apparently changed it, and it still didnt work, i just finished tracing wires and right at the back bumper in the center there was a broken wire, the green one, it had split and arked now i redid that wire and all is fine. If one of those pins are bad or have gotten sloppy in their seat, the connection to the board can/will be compromised. I had similar problem with blinker and brake lights in rear 99 suburban.. 2 years ago on vacation had to stop in Kentucky to replace a bulb... turned out it was the circuit I replaced it $75 or so.
My headlights, front running lights rear turn signals and brake lights all work. Some have used the connector by clipping the LDD driver wires and sliding them into the correct notches of the connector. Not sure if it helps but my 89 C1500 had the same problem turns out it was something to sdo with the turnsignal switch and the relay and sensors. Ive put in hours and hours of working on my own two now i dont have to worry some dodges does the same thing im not sure about ford. Circuit board discolored, grease dirty and dried up. Step 3: Disconnect Valeo Board. These circuit boards are known to go bad.
3rd check the bulbs and make sure there is no broken filaments. So I went straight to O'Reilly to get new bulbs. Big thanks to everyone that helped me with my Bad battery situation, much appreciated. I pulled pin with needlenose and the one for the backup lights. I unplugged mine and and went back to factory and everything is fixed now. While trying to fix it, i went to the 7 pin connector and found that the red/grey wire has 11 volts or so, which i figure it should have, but at the lighting end of the wire, i get about. I found the wires going to the tail light hang 1/2 inch below the bumper. Check fuses under hood. There will one lead for each turn signal (2 leads), there will be one lead for the tail light, one lead for the brake lights, and one lead for the backup lights, plus. Don't count out a bad connection there either if you have one.
Try removing both tail lamp assemblies and swapping them side to side. Gave serial number to GM tech and got build sheet and no junction box. I even changed the BCM on advise from other members and a GM employee and still having issues. How difficult is the junction box replacement? Its the 7866 relay in the lower right corner of the stupid fuse box- go figure, what a waste of my time - relay all the time. Flat Blade Screwdriver. Hopped under the rear bumper and found where someone had done a crappy repair on the brown wire coming in on the main harness and it split off to two brown wires to each light and fixed the repair and lights work now. 01-26-2015, 08:56 PM.
That is usually the first place that we look when troubleshooting a circuitry issue. It prevents from having to cut into the factory wires so you can wire up a trailer. I'm currently dealing with the same problem. I am an O'Reillys employee, and was able to get the part no problem. My wire harness to the back lights at the end they all test possitive, what is the problem.

They are activated when the headlights switch is engaged, in either the parking or headlight mode. Im wondering if anyone has had this problem, and if they might be able to help me out. I put the b/u pin into the t/s pins hole. They eventually quit all together and I discovered that particular pin was bad. Rear Turn Signal problems since owning the vehicle.
