Thats when they pulled the abs sensor on a front wheel and it was green with corrosion.. after they fixed it zero problems a front sensor affects traction control is beyond me lol. I WILL NEVER BUY KIA AGAIN HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS ON TOP OF PROBLEMS WITH THIS CAR. Abs sensor is used for hill assist and traction control... problem is definitely in the wiring or connection to a abs sensor somewhere.. Your Ford's Hill Start Assist may not be working due to a random error, a faulty ABS sensor, problems with the traction control, a software glitch or it could just be due to a bad brake light fuse. I ordered two on eBay for $95 free shipping. I took apart my bad switch after replacing it with the new one. That's it for my post on this issue. I was on my way home the other night and hit my brakes going down a hill in my 2015 Subaru Impreza and all of a sudden the ABS, Hill Incline and Traction control Impreza trouble lights came on for my dash and stayed on. Happened to my daughter's Hyundai Elantra and a week after lights appeared and went off the car caught fire in our driveway. I watched a video on YouTube I found it looked to be an easy replacement. Mine does have this and showed rear wheel speed sensor open short. I need to drive the car to dealer with the symbol lights on so they can look them up. I had the car scanned at the shop and it called out the passenger rear sensor. You simply press the button to turn off the traction control. I googled "VDC, ABS, and Incline Assist lights WRX" or something similar and that was the general consensus. It seemed fixed for 4 days.
