Video Transcript: Hi, I'm Helen from eSpares. This page is, in part, a review that I did to answer some questions about the Dyson DC25. Any material blocking those holes will reduce the airflow into the vacuum and reduce suction. I have checked to make sure here are no blockages n the wand and hose, that the hose is not twisted, I have unclipped the hose and tried to fit it in without the wand and it still doesn't fit. It is important, however, that you not allow the canister to fill beyond the max line because it begins to draw much more material up into the filter. Using the Hose: In one review I read about a DC25, someone complained that they had to use the 3ft wand and they couldn't understand why Dyson designed it that way. Do not plug in or attempt to use the machine until it has been inspected by one of our engineers. Press the release catch located on the ball to release the filter cover. Extend the wand until it clicks. Switch the machine on. Press the button at the top of the handle and remove the bin from the machine. If you see that the majority of the material that you're vacuuming up is that fine, you should clean your filters much more frequently than is suggested by Dyson. Pull handle back and recline machine into vacuuming position ensuring the stabilising wheels are facing up towards the back of the machine. Please follow the steps as shown in the video below. Using the brush attachment inserted in the hose end is useful for dusting. Replace the wand into the bracket that holds it on to the Dyson body. Push the combination tool on to the end of the wand handle. In less than 5 minutes, the canister was filled to the max line. This works very well when all is working properly. If you have no pets, it will take much longer to fill the canister, especially after the initial use removes most of the deep-down dirt. You can shake most of the water out of it. This usually happens because the filters need washing or your machine is blocked. If there is water in the filter, it will be pulled into the motor and is likely to damage the vacuum. This issue could be caused by a twisted hose. There is no device that will work well for every application. Keep in mind the power cord but be unwound first. It was only recommended that the filters be cleaned after about 3 months. There are only a couple of pieces but if you're not familiar with the design, I can see how it might be confusing. You need to get out as much water as possible at this point to reduce drying time. Is the power cord or plug damaged?
Lay the machine on its back. Position the other end onto the duct closest to the Cleaner head. Lift the wand handle cap and push on to the hose until it clicks into place. Wash both filters in cold water only. Attach Wand to top of hose so that it 'clicks' into place. It works as it should but not as smoothly as it could with a proper bearing. A damp or musty smell is caused when dust in the cyclone has come into contact with water. This is to be expected. I didn't think that they could possibly have needed cleaning in less than 1 hour but they were both dirty. When you open the vacuum and pull the bag off of the internal nozzle that goes into the bag, immediately cover the hole in the bag with a couple of strips of packing or duct tape. If you pull on it as suggested, it will follow you perfectly.
