Despite the prominent piano, soft vocals, and poppy approach, the song's lyrics pack a punch, ruminating about the frustrating task of trying to save someone from themselves. As someone who only got into after wcar after kyle's death and primarily knows their debut, to plant a seed, i was unsure what this album would sound like in its entirety. The track opens with a verse of raspy cleans, behind some crunchy riffs that heavily hint impending explosion, which surely does rapidly ensue. Bringing them together and standing as a monument not only to their past, but also their future together. Moore and Stephens are a formidable writing team.
