The Best Western Braddock Motor Inn is conveniently located six miles from many key area attractions such as the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad, historic Fort Cumberland, the Thrasher Carriage Museum and George Washington's headquarters. Social distancing was in force but, I was the only one in the dining room so, this wasn't an issue. When it came time for check out, it went equally smoothly. " It's an easy two hour drive from DC, Baltimore and Pittsburgh, and we are at the meeting point of two major bike trails. Thanks for making us weary bikers feel at home. Built in 1840, the Bruce House is one of the oldest homes in town, built by one of the founding families of Cumberland and descendants of Scottish king Robert the Bruce. As it was a 2 and a half hour drive for me and didn't want to take a chance on traffic the day of my appointment with MVA (it was in the morning), I drove out in the evening and stayed 1 night here.
