Congratulations to all on a fantastic week. Spirit days allow students to break out of the monotony of the school year by having some fun and dressing in a humorous fashion. Students dress in comfort for this popular spirit day, attending school in their PJ pants and tops. At the end of the day, have an assembly and award a prize for the student who looks most like the teacher that he decided to imitate. Spirit Week 2020: Decades Day. Friday, Sept 27: Class Color Day — Wear your class color. Many schools have a spirit week, comprised of themed days, leading up to major sporting events or important high-stakes tests. Each day had an individual theme, with students encouraged to dress accordingly.
2019 Halloween Spirit Week – Decades Day. This spirit day is a wonderful choice for spirit week, or an ideal activity for the days leading up to a school career day. Monday was Decades Day at BCS so all the students chose an era and dressed up like someone from that time period. Wednesday, Sept 25: VSCO Girl / Frat Boy Day — Show off your scrunchies and frat boy look. November 1st was totally tubular, to say the least! "Decades" was also the overall theme of the week. Junior Class of 2021 — Melanie Arroyo & Chris Akers. Student Council, sponsored by teachers Mr. Caleb Ankrom and Ms. Jessica Leonette, oversaw the week's activities. They'd scream in excitement when they saw how their classmates had dressed up for Decades Day. Administrator and 4th Grade Teacher, Mr. Clement said it was fun watching the students come in. Highlights of the week included the annual Powder Puff Game between the junior and senior girls Thursday night, a Spirit Assembly on Friday afternoon, the Homecoming Football Game featuring the EPHS varsity vs. Westmont on Saturday morning (moved from Friday night due to bad weather), and the Homecoming Dance on Saturday night in the EPHS Main Gym.

When establishing spirit days, schools generally create a dress theme, and encourage students to come decked out in wacky and outlandish garb. Some students may even elect to wear slippers or carry a stuffed animal around throughout the day. Students flip-flop their garments for this easy-to-implement spirit day. Sophomore Class of 2022 — Adreana Duarte & Michael Uyeda. The 70's was a popular choice, including for our own Miss Carter. Girls may want to wear their hair pulled into a bun, like their favorite English teacher, or boys may come to school in shorts and wear a whistle around their neck, like their beloved football coach. We had poodle skirts, saddle shoe, and studded glasses for some of the girls and leather jackets and slicked-back hair for some of the boys. Students can wear scrubs, show up in a business suit or dress as a professional athlete, showing their future career goals through their attire. Students whipped out their smooth moves and funky grooves to add on to their funky fresh 'fits. Monday, Sept. 23: 'Merica Day — Wear red, white and blue.
